Who ships your order
Every order placed on our site is fulfilled and shipped by a licensed liquor retailer in our network, not by us. That is how spirits are sold online legally. Your order confirmation and tracking come through our store; the box comes from the retailer.
Where we ship
To most states. Checkout confirms your address before you pay, so you will never be charged for an order that cannot ship. We cannot deliver to PO boxes, freight forwarders or parcel lockers, because someone over 21 has to sign for the box in person.
The signature
Federal and state law require an adult signature on delivery of alcohol. The carrier will ask for ID from anyone who looks under 21 and will not leave the package unattended. If nobody is home, the carrier tries again on the next business day, up to three attempts, and then returns the package to the retailer. Please ship to an address where an adult will be in during the day, which for many people means work rather than home.
How long it takes
Orders usually leave the retailer within one to two business days and arrive in two to five business days, depending on where you are. Shipping cost is shown at checkout before you pay. In extreme heat or cold we may hold shipments for a day or two to protect the bottle, and we will tell you if that happens. Holiday cut-off dates go out by email.
Broken, missing or wrong
It happens, and it is easy to fix. Email orders@denadatequila.com within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and a photo of the bottle and the box. We will send a replacement. You do not need to ship anything back.
Returns and cancellations
Once alcohol has shipped it cannot be returned or resold, so we are not able to accept returns of opened or unopened bottles. If you need to cancel or change an order, email us with the order number before it ships and we will cancel it for a full refund, or fix the address. If a bottle is faulty in any way, see the section above and we will make it right.
Sending a gift
You can ship to a friend. Enter their address at checkout; they will need to be 21 or over and sign for it. Tell them it is coming so it does not go back to the retailer.
